Most likely because, unlike most other components, the disc drives of the 2 systems are functionally identical. There is no difference between how they work. The only differences are how much data they can hold and the drive speed. This is not a major handicap. The workaround is simple. If you need more space than a DVD can hold, you simply use more. It's been done for years...

I think not having co-op in Resistance was a design decision by the developers. If the PSN can have 40 player deathmatch, it sure as hell can handle 2 player co-op. Either way, XBL is definitely a far better service and I have absolutely no problem paying $50 a year for it.

Another reason the 360 wasn't selling so well was all the people who wanted to wait (see the theme here?) for the PS3 to release so they could see the differences between the systems firsthand. Now that the PS3 is finally out and we've seen what both systems can do, $600 for a system with games that are currently identical at best to the $400 competition seems like a rip off. I'd probably buy one if the price dropped to around $450 for the 60GB SKU. (Hint hint Sony.)
I love UFC but I would also like a game based on the Pride league. Either way, this game better not suck as much as the older UFC games did.

It didn't really need to upgrade. When the Worms franchise tried to "upgrade" by going 3D, it started to suck. Now that it has come back to 2D where it belongs, it will be awesome again. No doubt about it.
All comments were directed at Sony because we know what they did in a similar situation in the past. I do not claim to know what they will do if this lawsuit is successful, but I doubt they will follow a similar course of action as analog sticks are far more important to the overall gameplay experience than rumble.

No, they just have a past history of paying up and being able to keep the technology while Sony drops it and claims its unneeded. I'm not saying MS is the poster child of an ethical company or anything. I'm just stating precedent.
Ever since Black Isle went out of business, my favorite RPG developers have been Bethesda and Bioware. Since Bioware is made up of a lot of the guys from Black Isle, I think they would have done the best job with the franchise. Since Elder Scrolls is the only RPG franchise I have spent more time with than Fallout, Bethesda taking over this project wasn't unwelcome news to me when it happened.
